DIGITAL PIANOS FOR SMALLER SPACES AND BUDGETS

Digital pianos have been around since the late 1970s and have since come a very long way! The technologies used in our current models offer realistic sound quality and feel at an affordable price. We have digital pianos ranging from portable styles, upright home piano styles as well as larger grand piano styles. Whatever your needs, you’ll find the piano you’re looking for at The Pianoforte.

IS A DIGITAL PIANO RIGHT FOR YOU?

Whereas acoustic pianos create sound with strings and hammers, digital pianos use sampled piano sounds which is triggered by the piano keys. The best digital pianos include foot pedals that allow players to control tone, and have weighted keys that give the feel of an acoustic piano. Digital pianos are lighter, smaller, and less expensive than acoustic pianos, and the best part is they never need to be tuned!

When deciding which kind of digital piano to purchase, consider what you’ll be using it for – the space it will be going in, your budget and your purpose for using the piano.

For smaller budgets and smaller spaces, portable digital pianos or slimline home pianos are highly recommended. On the other hand, if you have some experience with the piano or simply have a more flexible budget without space constraints, you may want to consider a larger upright or grand digital piano.

OUR RANGE OF DIGITAL PIANOS

PORTABLE/STAGE: Portable or stage digital pianos are extremely versatile as they are easily transportable which is ideal for travelling or working musicians and buskers or if you’re generally a person who travels a lot! They’re also great for kids and adult learners starting out on the piano if you don’t want to invest too much in the beginning.

UPRIGHT/GRAND: These types of digital pianos are good for players of all levels from beginners to concert pianists. They are ideal for those learning classical music, as well as contemporary, but can’t afford or accommodate an acoustic piano.

HYBRID PIANOS: You can get the best of both worlds with Hybrid digital pianos. A hybrid piano is essentially a digital piano with real hammer action inside so it creates a very realistic playing experience with the advantage of being able to use it silently with headphones, mix up and layer different sounds, record your playing and far easier to move around than an acoustic piano!
